Declutter First

You cannot clean if your home is still cluttered. You’ll wind up shoving items aside or simply failing to clean beneath them! This is why decluttering must come first.

Declutter in parts. Start with a single corner of a single room and progress to the next piece when you’re finished.

It is ideal to have several boxes or bags for this. Have one bag for “keep” stuff, one for “donate” items, one for “trash”, and one for “fix or reuse” items. It’s also useful to include a “wrong room” box so you don’t have to leave your room.
